In the first half of 2022, the total number of international and domestic passenger traffic at Turkey’s airports increased by 87 percent to 75 million. In the same period last year, the outbound-inbound passenger traffic was around 40 million.
Airline passenger traffic in Turkey in January-June 2022
According to the data of the General Directorate of State Airports Authority (DHMI) of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, in the first half of 2022, 75 million outgoing and incoming passengers were served on the international and domestic lines at the airports. Last year, 40 million people were served.
In the last 6 months, domestic passenger traffic at airports across Turkey was 25 million. In 2022, it increased to 36 million. In this period, international passenger traffic also increased from 15 million to 39 million.
