TRAVELS FROM UK TO TURKEY IN 2023
In the January-February period of 2023, the number of international trips from the UK by air increased by 97%. Türkiye ranks 5th with an increase of 70%.
According to the analysis made by the Tourism Databank from the data of the UK Civil Aviation Authority, the number of international trips made by air from the UK increased by 97% in the January-February period of 2023. In the Mediterranean region, Türkiye ranks 5th with an increase of 70%. Türkiye was in the same position last year.
Where are the British going in 2023?
Despite losing 6 points, Spain ranked first with a share of 41% in international trips from UK to Mediterranean countries. Italy and France followed it with 15% each, and both countries increased their shares compared to 2022.
In this period, Portugal and Turkey, whose market shares decreased by one point each, showed 76% and 70% improvement in the number of trips. France and Italy broke records in the increase in the number of trips, with levels exceeding 100%.
