The number of tourists coming to Muğla in the first half of 2022 increased by 456 percent and reached 887 thousand 660. While the number of foreign tourists coming to Muğla in the January-June period increased to 843 thousand 702, the number of citizen tourists living abroad increased to 43 thousand 958. The first places in the number of foreign tourists sorted as follows: U.K, Germany, Russia, Poland, Netherlands and Belgium. The arrivals from the UK market, exceeded 453 thousand. In Germany, it rose to 65 thousand. The number of people coming from Russia increased to 73 thousand.
The number of tourists coming to Muğla is approaching 2019: Having received 1 million 112 thousand tourists in the first half of 2019, Muğla reached 887 thousand 660 people in the same period of 2022.
