According to the data compiled by the Tourism Databank, the tourism statistics center, from the accommodation statistics of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, in February 2023, the number of overnight stays by foreign tourists in hotels in Turkey increased to 7.2 million. It was 1.8 million in 2022.
In the January-February period, the number of overnight stays by foreign tourists in hotels in Turkey increased to 11 million. It was 4.5 million in 2022.
Overnights by market
In the January-February period, Germany took the first place with 1.92 million and Russia with 1.82 million, in the overnight stays of foreign tourists in hotels with operating licenses. The UK followed with 0.52 million. Israel, Kuwait, Iran, USA, Poland and Saudi Arabia were among the top ten markets.
