According to the data compiled by the Tourism Databank, the tourism statistics center, from the accommodation statistics of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, in the 10-month period of 2022, the overnight stays of the tourists coming to Turkey in hotels increased by 48.7% and approached 224 million (2019: 198 million).
In the January-October period of 2022, total overnight stays in hotels increased to 224 million, exceeding 198 million in 2019. In this period, foreign tourist overnight stays exceeded 138 million, exceeding 2019. Citizen overnight stays also increased to 85.3 million.
