According to the data compiled by Turizmdatabank from the Interbank Card Center BKM, in the 8-month period of 2022, payments made by contactless cards to those who receive tourism services in Turkey amounted to $754 million.
Hotels and travel agencies took the first place in contactless payments. In 8 months, citizens paid 432 million dollars to hotels and 298 million dollars to agencies with contactless cards. Compared to 2021, payments made without insurance increased 8 times.
