The new tourism minister in Egypt explained what he will do. The Tax Free system, which was updated by the Ministry of Finance last year, will be launched immediately. The difficult procedures of the past will be removed. He will be able to apply for a tax refund within two months of purchase.
VAT refunds to tourists will now be made according to the standard international plan. The money will be refunded immediately upon contacting the Special Tax Free kiosks. The first test site will be Sharm el-Sheikh.
