The number of visitors and tourists coming to Spain increased by 610 percent in the 5-month period of 2022 and reached 22.7 million. During this period, the biggest visitor increases were seen in the UK, Ireland, Scandinavia and USA markets.
Number of tourists to Spain in 2022
According to the data compiled by the Tourism Databank, the tourism statistics center, from the Spanish National Institute of Statistics (INE), the number of visitors and tourists to Spain increased by 610 percent in the 5-month period of 2022, reaching 22.7 million. During this period, the biggest increases were in the Canary Islands, Valencia, Andalusia provinces. On the other hand, the country caught 5 million tourists in the package tour market. Package tour revenue was 4.1 billion Euros.
