Istanbul Hotels Occupancy Rate in July
According to the data compiled by Turizmdatabank from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism’s accommodation statistics, in July 2022, the occupancy rate in hotels with operating licenses in Istanbul rose to 74.89%. The occupancy rate in hotels with municipal certificates reached around 69.65%.
Occupancy by 2019
In the same month of 2019, the occupancy rate in hotels with operation certificates in Istanbul was 77.61%. It was 67.4% in hotels with municipality certificates.
In July 2022, occupancy rates in 5-star hotels fell by 72.91%, 3 points behind 2019. 4-star hotels are also 6 points below 2019 with 77.4% occupancy. 3-star hotels repeated 2019 with 71.25%. Occupancy rates in hostels, apartments, private and boutique hotels are at par with 2019 or above.
