According to the data compiled by Turizmdatabank from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism’s accommodation statistics, in October 2022, the occupancy rate in hotels with operating licenses in Istanbul rose to 71.23%. The occupancy rate in hotels with municipal certificates reached around 68%. In the same month of 2019, the occupancy rate in hotels with operation certificates in Istanbul was 68.19%. It was 61.40% in hotels with municipality certificates.

In this month, occupancy rates in 5-star hotels exceeded 2019 with 66.1%. 4-star hotels are also 3 points above 2019 with 76.8% occupancy. 3-star hotels passed 2019 by 6 points with 72.7%.
