According to the data compiled by Tourism Databank, the tourism statistics center, from the Interbank Card Center BKM; In the January-August period of 2022, hotel accommodation expenditures made with credit and debit cards approached 4 billion dollars.
In 2021, there was an expenditure of close to 2.3 billion dollars.

Turkey Hotel Occupancy Rate in August

The occupancy rate in hotels with operating certificates in Turkey increased to 82.63% in August 2022. It reached around 63% in hotels with municipality certificates. In the same month of 2019, occupancy rates were 85.71% in hotels with operation certificate and 60.5% in hotels with municipality certificate.
