Number of tourists in Greece South Aegean
According to the information received by the Tourism Databank, the tourism statistics center, from the Greek Southern Aegean Tourism Initiative (SATI), tourist traffic in popular islands such as Rhodes, Kos, Santorini, Mykonos and Karpathos exceeded the pre-Covid-19 level by 13 percent in June.
Distribution of arriving passengers
The distribution of passengers during this period was as follows: 376,415,042 Rhodes, 182,410 Kos, 114.873 Santorini, 83.581 Mykonos and 14,662 Karpathos. In total, more than 1.7 million people visited the islands of the region.
The number of arrivals at five of the region’s major airports in June exceeded the 2019 performance of the same month by 13 percent, April 2019 levels by 13 percent and May levels by 5 percent.
