The increase in travel revenues was driven by an 86.1% increase in inbound passenger flows, while average expenditure per trip decreased by 7.6%.
Revenues from EU27 residents increased by 23.7% to € 95.1 million, while revenues from outside the EU27 increased by 141.4%
Revenues from Germany increased by 13.3% to 22.3 million euros, while revenues from France increased by 168.4% to 12.1 million euros. Revenues from the United Kingdom increased 48.3% to € 20.2 million, while revenues from the United States increased by 10.4% to € 8.1 million. Revenues from Russia decreased by 67.5% to 0.4 million Euros.
Number of incoming tourists
In January 2023, the number of arriving passengers increased by 86.1% compared to the previous year and reached 635.5 thousand. Compared to January 2022, passenger flow from airports increased by 70.1%, while passenger flow from road border crossing points increased by 144.1%. This increase was driven by higher passenger flows from both within the EU27 (48.9% increase) and outside the EU27 (137.2% increase).
The number of passengers from Germany increased by 19.2% to 64.6 thousand, while the number of passengers from France increased by 98.9% to 31.5 thousand. The number of passengers from the United Kingdom increased by 78.2% to 59.5 thousand, while the number of passengers from the United States increased by 40.8% to 15.2 thousand. Finally, the number of passengers from Russia decreased by 45.3% to 1.2 thousand.
