While domestic trips increased to 20.2 million in the first half, they could not exceed the 33-34 million band in 2019. Those who traveled in this half made a total of 141.8 million overnight stays, with an average of 7 nights. There were 236 million overnight stays in 2019.

In the first half, the travel expenses of citizen tourists increased to 31.8 billion TL. A total of 17.7 billion TL was spent in 2019. This increase stemmed from rising domestic prices (inflation). With this effect, the expenditure per trip increased from 531 TL to 1577 TL.
Compared to 2019, the nominal increase was 197%, while the real increase was 42%.
