Airline ticket prices started to increase in 2022
Jens Bischof, CEO of Eurowings, one of the companies that stated that if the prices do not increase, the burden of the impact of the oil price cannot be undertaken, emphasized that the airlines will increase their ticket prices by at least 10 percent to finance the fuel cost. Eurowings, Lufthansa’s low-cost subsidiary, plans to increase ticket prices by at least another 10% due to the rise in fuel prices, which will increase the airline’s operating costs by 100 million euros.
