SPAIN HOSTED 14 MILLION TOURISTS IN 3 MONTHS
In January-March 2023, the number of tourists coming to Spain exceeded 13.7 million, which is 11.9% better than before the pandemic.

According to the data compiled by the Tourism Databank, the tourism statistics center, from the Spanish National Institute of Statistics (INE), the number of tourists coming to Spain in January-March 2023 exceeded 13.7 million, with a level of 11.9% better than before the Pandemic.
The United Kingdom was first with close to 2.6 million tourists and an annual increase of 46.7%, followed by France with more than 1.7 million and an increase of 31.5%. With 1.7 million tourists, Germany provided a further 29.8% increase.
Among the autonomous communities receiving the highest number of tourists, the Canary Islands rank first with more than 3.7 million tourists, an increase of 30.9%. It was followed by Catalonia with about 2.8 million and vAndalusia with about two million.
On the other hand, the expenditure of foreign tourists in Spain in the first three months of the year increased by 11.9% compared to 2019 and increased by 44.7% compared to 2022 and reached 17,201 million Euros.
